november 2010 - free pink cupcakes desktop

I am so very late with November’s desktop wallpaper that I decided there wasn’t much point to working with a Thanksgiving theme. Instead, here’s a free desktop wallpaper for everyday use. I’ve been working on several custom cupcake-related projects lately, so I have the sweet treats on the brain. I’ll do something seasonal for Christmas soon.

Also available: A “flipped” version for those of you who keep your desktop icons on the left and a blue version for those who aren’t as fond of pink as I am (unfathomable!) Enjoy!

sweet cupcakes info sheet and menu

I was asked to design a 2-page printable info sheet and menu for Mason Girl Cupcakes & Tea. I’m particularly fond of the menu page with the giant cupcake watermark in the background.

new counting poster: candy

numbers & candy

My first idea for the numbers & fruits counting poster was intended to be numbers & candy, but somewhere along the line I decided fruits would be better suited to the design. The other night I thought I’d try going back to the original idea, and this came together quickly. This is the poster for those of you who’d prefer something sweet but a little more “refined.” 😉

the hungry doodler

I’ve been keeping up with my weekly print-a-doodles. Here are two of the most recent ones:

yum yum pizza! technicolor cupcakes

I realized as I was finishing up the pizza that my last four drawings have been about food. The other night I was craving pizza like mad after watching Gordon Ramsey overhaul an Italian pizzeria on an episode of Kitchen Nightmares, so I admit that doodle was entirely inspired by my gurgling tummy. And we all know I have a fondness for cupcakes–or cake in any style, really.

a sweet treat of a poster

sweet tooth

This is one of those projects that started out as a quick doodle but turned into an 3-hour session, and now it’s available as a poster in the shop. I’m particularly fond of the little gummy bears… it was a toss-up between those and worms. I may have to try a less pastel version of this poster for the boys sometime soon.

Also, a HUGE “thank you” to Apartment Therapy for noting my “numbers and fruits” poster in this list of 10 great kitchen posters for under $50. I’m flattered to be included among so many talented designers.
