I recently designed a new WordPress theme based on this undersea illustration. My favorite part about Something Fishy is the animation, and how it changes slightly depending on how much or little content you’re viewing. You can download the theme here, or even use it on your WordPress.com blog!
Presenting December’s free holiday desktop wallpaper! As relatively new parents to a two-year-old, last year was the first year my husband and I really got to play “Santa” to our daughter. I can tell you right now, this Santa thinks living at the North Pole is overrated. If this Santa had a choice, she’d jet off to her winter home in the Carribean every January.
I’m just sayin’. Please enjoy!
Taking a quick break from doodling to show off my latest website design… I decided to consolidate my many web projects into a single personal portal, and I thought this design was illustrative enough to be showcased at Calobee Doodles as well (I’m really into these landscape-style designs lately, as if you couldn’t tell.) Hop over to CarolineMoore.net to take a look at the full website!
So I’ve gone from a totally literal interpretation of the theme to a somewhat, uh, loose one. Each of these panels is linked by a common thread. Ta-da! Obviously I’ve been playing a bit too much Treasure Isle on Facebook.
I’m not quite finished with this doodle, as I’m not very happy with the third panel… it’s lacking something. When it’s finished it will be available as a set of three square prints in the shop!
This was a fun, off-the-cuff style drawing for this week’s theme, “dip.” Given this weekend’s beautiful spring weather, my mind wandered to warm, sunny places and I came up with this beach scene–two folks taking a swim in the waves, a couple (maybe honeymooners?) dancing at the edge of the water, a young girl who’s lost half her ice cream, and a seagull enjoying someone’s forgotten afternoon snack. There is lots of “dipping” in many different forms going on here!
