Inspired by some of my favorite childhood toys — we had the house and the farm, and I remember playing with them for hours. These days I get to watch my kids play with the very same toys, except now they’re called “vintage” for some unfathomable reason. 🙂
… but she didn’t listen.
I had a long flight from LAX to Hawaii last week (life is rough); there was no in-flight internet, and the book I’d brought was only mildly engaging. I decided to work on a new Valentine’s doodle, just for fun.
This little girl is available as a small print or poster in my Etsy shop.
Hey, look! My Calobee Doodles website design won a free WordPress shirt from wpshirts.com for its creativity in design and use of WordPress. Pardon my geek-ness for a moment, but for those of you who love WordPress as much as I do, WPShirts is all about showing the love–literally. I will wear my new “Powered by WP” shirt with pride.
Speaking of the website, I decided it was time to swap over to the new website design for snow season. It’s beginning to look a lot like winter here! Brrr!
Presenting December’s free holiday desktop wallpaper! As relatively new parents to a two-year-old, last year was the first year my husband and I really got to play “Santa” to our daughter. I can tell you right now, this Santa thinks living at the North Pole is overrated. If this Santa had a choice, she’d jet off to her winter home in the Carribean every January.
I’m just sayin’. Please enjoy!
I’m trying to think ahead this year, so I’ve been brainstorming holiday-oriented designs. This clever little birdy amused me, so I think you’ll see this offered in the shop soon as a postcard design!
And yes, I know I’m very late with November’s desktop wallpaper. I’ve been so busy with custom work (more on that soon) I haven’t had as many opportunities to focus on my own things. November is hardly an inspiring month in this neck of the woods in any case–so bleak and gray. But I’m sure I can come up with something involving Thanksgiving turkey. Mmm, turkey.
