X-Files Fan Art Posters: โ€œEpisodesโ€ Series, pt. 4

I’ve been plucking away at these over the last few weeks, with a few more ideas on the way. They’re fun to work on, and I’m pleasantly surprised at the reaction. They’re one of the most popular items in my Etsy shop right now! These three will also be available there soon. ๐Ÿ™‚

Most of my illustrations are related to WordPress themes these days, and this is no exception. I recently created a new theme called Pachyderm and this is the default header image — so cute! illustration friday: transportation

personalized cars kids' banner

I’m cheating and using an existing design for this week’s Illustration Friday theme, transportation. This personalized kids’ banner I designed a while back came to mind immediately. new poster design: numbers & veggies

numbers & veggies

So after finishing numbers & fruits and numbers & candy, it was only a matter of time before I tried my hand at something healthier–vegetables!

Once again, I spent a long time deliberating exactly which veggies would make the cut (teehee.) Potatoes and onions fell by the wayside; the former were not visually stunning (although they’re one of my favorite foods) and my drawings of the latter were barely decipherable. Summer squash was a close second to pumpkins, but pumpkins won out for being more easily identifiable. I fussed over the cabbages in row 5 for a long time, and I’m still not certain they won’t be mistaken for Brussels sprouts, but hey, what can you do? And yes, I realize tomatoes are technically a fruit, not a veggie. Just play along. There’s a reason I’m not a scientific illustrator. ๐Ÿ˜‰

You’ll soon find this poster in the Calobee Doodles shop!
